The Cerrillos turquoise mine is located between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is one of the most famous prehistoric mining districts in the American Southwest. Cerrillos is the only turquoise that formed at the base of a volcano. There are more than two hundred dig sites located in the Cerrillos district. Navajo silversmith, Will Denetdale, has handcrafted this super nice sterling silver ring to embrace this extraordinary Cerrillos turquoise cabochon.  This high-grade natural stone is a soft, pastel blue with lustrous color and striking golden matrix patterns. The setting is heavy and well made in the classic style. With distinct durability and appealing color, this is the epitome of what skystone and silver are all about.
