This Navajo basket was woven sometime in the 1970s by an unknown weaver. It has rested in a private collection for over forty years now. This vintage vessel shows an ethnic design of a step-like pattern. Woven with a five-rod foundation of sumac, the basket is a solid example of basketry from an earlier era.
