Robert Taylor uses 14k gold and sterling silver to create jewelry featuring timeless images of Native American life. He is one of those crazily crafty artists who blend the best of old and new techniques to come up with something completely different. In Navajo legend, eagles are heavenly fliers, rainbow riders, and powerful sons-of-guns. Because of the eagle’s close association with the spirit world and its protective nature, Robert finds the great bird fascinating. He enjoys promoting the Eagle Dancer and its benevolent message. Robert created this robustly constructed silver and gold bolo tie in homage to his heavenly hero and those that represent it through artful pantomime. In our less than humble opinion, he did the majestic raptor proud.

About the artist:

Robert Taylor

Robert Taylor - Silver & Goldsmith:
"Cluster, channel, leaf, inlay, casting... I've done about everything," Robert Taylor talks about his silver and goldsmithing, "There's a lot of artists that do it." And then he confides the reason he has set himself apart from other craftsmen. "I didn't really get anywhere until I decided to design my own style."
