Damele Turquoise Choker, unknown artist (#65)

We are uncertain who made this necklace, but we do know the turquoise came through Tony Corner and his Damele mine, which is located in central Nevada. Tony once told us the green color associated with Damele turquoise was produced by hot ground waters percolating through an ancient subtropic zone. He said this fact had been verified by the geologic department at the University of Arizona. The turquoise is exceptionally hard, and the hand-ground beads are finely made. This is a high-quality, one of a kind necklace made with natural turquoise.
