Fannie Nampeyo (1900-1987) is the daughter of the great Hopi potter Nampeyo, who almost single-handedly defined Pueblo fine-art pottery. Fannie’s work is as impressive as her mother’s, and this wide bowl, featuring the classic Hopi migration pattern, shows exactly why. The bottom of the pot is clearly signed and Fannie added her signature corn trademark to the piece. Despite its age, the bowl, painting, and patina remain strong and vibrant.
