The sgraffito etchings of Santa Clara/Kiowa artist Dean Haungooah are amazingly detailed. The cross-cultural imagery of Kokopelli is the main theme of this particular seed bowl. The flute player shows up twice along with Grandfather Horned Toad, prayer feathers, rainclouds, corn, and migration patterns. Dean is one of the best potters and sgraffito artists in the business. Look closely to see if you don’t agree.
