Bessie Coggeshell is a Navajo rug weaver of extreme skill. In the past couple of years, Bessie has struggled with her vision. Luckily for her, and us, Bessie was introduced to an accomplished eye surgeon, who removed the old and replaced with new, the lenses in her eyes. That cataract surgery allowed Bessie to "begin again." This is Bessie’s first rug since she had the surgery and, as you can see, she has not lost her skills. Bessie’s rug is super fine in weave and detail. This Red Mesa design is packed with her own brand of female energy that the design is so well known for. These days, Bessie is beaming, as are the rest of us.
