Kee Yazzie, Jr. is highly skilled with a coping saw and an acetylene torch. He spends hours, and numerous saw blades, cutting out intricate patterns in sheet silver to represent the pictographs and petroglyphs found on the red-rock cliffs surrounding his home near Winslow, Arizona. Kee is not afraid to mix and match cultures either. He delves into his Hopi and Navajo heritage, and also blends contemporary themes as seamlessly as you please. Kee’s workmanship is extraordinary and admired equally by both collectors and peers.
