Kee Yazzie, Jr., has a most interesting manner of expressing himself through his art. He uses cut-out images derived from his Navajo and Hopi heritage. Kee relates how as a young man wandering the reservation, he saw designs carved into the side walls of canyons and painted on pottery sherds discovered on the desert sands near his home in Winslow, Arizona. Those designs are etched in Kee’s mind and imagination and now, on this outstanding belt buckle.
