Hopi Seed Jar Pot Carved with Crow Mother Kachina
4 1/2" high
This pottery piece was created in 1992 and came to us as an estate piece. Marty and Elvira Naha Nampeyo are a husband and wife team best known for their incised red wear. The couple are heavily involved in the Hopi culture, which is reflected through their art. The Crow Mana Kachina is the prominent feature of this gorgeous seed bowl. With a rich heritage of potters on both sides of the family, Marty and Elvira felt the need to prove themselves and they certainly did.
