This wonderful ingot silver and natural turquoise bracelet was probably made in the 1920s. With the age of this piece and alteration of stone color through its absorption of lotions and oils, it is hard to tell exactly what stones the artist initially installed. Our best guess is a combination of old Kingman, Blue Gem, Indian Mountain and a random piece of green Royston or Stennich turquoise. One can imagine the simple origins of this bracelet and feel the character it projects today.

the Navaho acquired the art of working metals is unknown but there are reasons

improved upon by them, since the time they have occupied their present country? More about this legend
