Dorothy specializes in making grandmothers, grandfathers, bears and frogs. Lately, she's branched out into other animals such as sheep, horses and camels. Her pieces range from miniatures to large figures.
Dorothy has three children, two sons and a daughter, whom she supports with her pottery making. Her children watch her a have dabbled a little with the clay. Until her youngest, Hanna turned six, Dorothy was unable to make the large pieces. If Dorothy had her back turned, Hanna would grab a hold of the drying piece. Just recently, Dorothy has returned to making the larger pieces. The mark of her larger grandmothers and grandfathers are the wonderful puffy cheeks which reflect a little of Dorothy's own features.
