Darryl Bicenti created this handsome and masterfully crafted bracelet around this Sugilite cabochon cut by lapidary Bruce Eckhardt. Sugilite is also called "Lavulite/Royal Azele" found only in the first half of the 20th century; first in Japan then in South Africa. Stones of this quality are extremely rare. We looked up the healing properties and were duly impressed at the potential of Sugilite: this stone is said to enhance psychic abilities. Gets you in touch with your Spiritual Guides; protects, absorbs and dissolves anger, hurt, unwanted energies. Sugilite brings spirit/light into the physical body and heart for healing. This stone helps to alleviate depression/despair, stress, brings peace of mind, well-being, spiritual love and is considered androgynous. It is one of the purple stones, which help to balance right and left brain function. Used to help anyone "integrate" into the world or new surroundings... Powerful stuff! $695.00

Navajo Handcarved Mule Rattle - Marvin Jim & Grace Begay (#194)
Navajo Folk Art
Mule Rattle
10 3/8" tall x 2 7/8" wide
Watch the Video!
Animals are believed to have helped create and build the world as the Navajo know it. Somewhere, somehow the animals were insulted by humans. The creatures threw off their garb, flew or walked away never to fully communicate with their fellow earthlings again. These sculptures stand as metaphors for opportunities and/or relationships lost because of poor communication skills. When Marvin presented this particular carving he told us that when ever one of his treasured relationships was in jeopardy it was generally due to his own "Mule-Headedness!"...we couldn't resist. $375.00

A flood bowl is considered to be a gift of the Gods. In the high desert of the great American southwest, moisture is never taken for granted. What greater gift could be bestowed upon a people than allowing them the basic element of survival. Nancy Chilly has recreated the spirit of the flood bowl and adorned it with the very same deities that provide for the Navajo people to this day. Bowls such as this are believed to be buried at the source of wells, streams and rivers. Left undisturbed these sacred vessels will continue to gift precious water to a well-deserving culture. $250.00
