Wilfred Garcia

With all of these accolades, Wilfred remains humble about his work.  He speaks quietly about respecting the clay and the stories he tells using figurative appliques to adorn his smooth, white pottery.  Parrots bring the gift of rain; bears represent strong medicine; and corn is the foundation of life itself.

Wilfred is always willing to help with special causes, especially in teaching children traditional ways and the richness of their native culture.  To everyone, he bestows an offering of beauty in simple, elegant clay forms.
